Gate Impellers: Introduction

Gate impellers or anchor impellers are large rotating equipment used for mixing fluids under laminar flow conditions, which are designed to fit the contour of a vessel. Gate impellers are generally used for heat transfer of fluids with high viscosities. They are generally used in wide shallow tanks where high shear is not required.
